Get Involved
Do you have a family member or friend who is currently deployed in the armed forces and could use some encouragement from back home? River Green Outreach is partnering with local area schools to let these men and women know how thankful we are that they are serving our country and keeping us safe. We could use your help:
- Nominate a soldier that we should consider adopting
- Volunteer to serve as a Class Captain (someone who works with one classroom, teacher, and room mom in a school to help them write letters, coordinate donations, and schedule shipments - we'll provide the training, so you won't be doing this alone). If you are a room mom or teacher and are interested, even better! Sign up to volunteer now.
Project Update
We have 32 soldiers adopted across 5 different schools! The students are excitedly writing letters, collecting donations, and making artwork for these men and women to remind them that we care. Our first shipment is coming soon. We are expecting to ship 3 care packages to each soldier which will cost us nearly $2,000.
