July 7, 2009: Pool Pizza Party
River Green Outreach's first fundraiser was a success! Partnering with Alessandro's Italian Cafe and The Corner Butcher Shop, River Green Outreach was able to serve 24 families with dinner Tuesday night. Although the night started off a little rainy, the evening closed with fun and pizza at the pool. The event raised about $140, enough to purchase school supplies for 11 children for the July Give a Kid a Chance program.
May 30, 2009: Pool Party Kick Off
River Green Outreach's kick off at the End of School Pool Party, May 30, 2009, was a huge success! We now have 115 participants ready to learn how they can help. Thank you to our volunteers who provided hot dogs, chips, water, and pool toys, worked the booth, and sold baked goods. Donations will go to support our first project - the MUST Summer Lunch program where we have committed to feeding 50 Cherokee County kids for 5 days in the summer.
