A tail wagging time was had by all on October 10 when numerous dogs from the community participated in the Puppy Love Dog Show held by River Green Outreach. The amateur dog show built awareness and raised money for Atlanta Dog Squad, a rescue organization for retrievers. Pet owners were able to show off their prized family members, raise money for a worthy cause, and interact with many local pet friendly businesses. Many bellies were rubbed and fun was had by all!

There were many wonderful wet nosed participants in the show. Doggy ballots were tallied by our judges from Atlanta Dog Squad, PetSmart, and Savy Paws Pet Resort. We appreciate all of our furry friends who competed and want to give a big congratulations to our first place winners:

There were many "paws”itively wonderful vendors on hand for this event including PetSmart, Savy Paws Pet Resort, Canton Paw Park, and It's a Grind, among others. For a special treat, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s office sent one of their K9 units to give a thrilling demonstration and to answer any questions about the special training involved in such an outstanding canine program. Thank you to all of the vendors for giving your time for such a wonderful event.
This special event not only helped to raise money for the Atlanta Dog Squad, but two large overflowing boxes were filled with items from generous neighbors to help these fantastic dogs in their transition to finding forever homes. Thank you all for your donations and your participation in this event. You all helped to change the lives of some special furry friends.
